Hi,
I've used GIMP in the past, but it's been a while, so it feels like new again.
I have a sketch whose outlines I'd like to convert into a vector image, but I'm having some difficulty doing this.
This is the starting image:
I used the Fuzzy Select Tool to select the outlines of the head, then I pasted the selection as the layer of a new image, and I added a white layer under it to get this:
I then cleaned up some of the edges and insides (using the Eraser Tool) to get more of an outline drawing, like this:
The problem is that I am now stuck; I don't know how to smoothen the outlines so that they are of uniform length; nor do I know how to turn the outline into smooth, vectorised lines.
Is this possible with GIMP at all? Is there a better open source tool for the job?
