Partha has released a portable version of Gimp 2.10.

A very quick test with the filter seems to suggest that it will work on 2.10...

I've got your v2.09 running fine on my Gimp 2.10 RC1 appimage. I just had to add two lines at the beginning of the script.

Really love all the new blending modes and texture generator in Gimp 2.10...

Not tried your script yet but nearly all the ones I had in my personal folder 10 included

Racer-X: Strange that you had to add those lines (which do nothing really) - I am using Windows 64 bit with Partha's build of Gimp 2.10 and my filter works as it is. Anyway - nice result.

The problem only applies to my particular Gimp 2.10 rc1 appimage. The author included his own python binaries and as a result, it blocked most python scripts from loading. Adding those lines enables them while still being compatible with my Gimp 2.8.14.

The only problem I haven't figured out yet is how to get the scheme scripts to work, as those are also blocked in the appimage. Hopefully future appimages will be fixed. Aside from those minor annoyances, this appimage runs very well and is super stable. I've been beating it up pretty good, but it never crashed yet...
