You are very skilled in Blender. Your work looks great...

I've just started using Blender and am trying to make some nice chrome 3-D text. So far, not successful at it. If you have some good ones, could you upload the blender file in zip? Then I can see how you made it.

Here's something I made yesterday, but not chrome.

Thank you.

On Blender 2.79 you dont need to import any materials. You create them self by playing and laborating with the tools.

Image

Be sure you working in (Cycle Render)

Image

You can borrow material from one blendfile to one other by doing this.

1.
Open up Blender-File- Append

Image

2.

Inside Blendfilefolder look for the blend with materials you ar looking for.

Image

3.

Select material.

Image

4.

Select all material you have need of.

Image

5.
Selected materials.

Image

6.

Now when you open upp materialwindow on your blend you have the appended material laying there.

When I made my animated flag, I use Affinity Photo and Blender 2.79. I start with the texture on the flag.

and after rendering the animation looks like this.

Thanks Wallace, it's a work in progress. I'm learning every time I open blender though. I probably won't get too involved with animations in blender, I don't think I have enough good brain cells left anymore... :hehe

You're welcome.
Who said you need brain cells? :hehe
Give it time,
I'm sure you'll be doing animation like nobody's businesses.
Brain cells or no cells.
;)

Congratulations on the nice 3D graphics racer-x and Lurifax73 for starting the thread.

"I don't think I have enough good brain cells left anymore... :hehe"
Apparently brain cells can re-grow in aged and young people but only if aged people get plenty of exercise. :melt

God morning.
1.
Dont use (1) lamp on top of your object, you got nasty shadows underneth the text. Use (2) and spreed them out and off center.

Image

2.

Shorten the rendering time, use denoising.

Lurifax73, your Blender animations have always fascinated me.
That's why I downloaded the program.
A few years all went well but since a couple of months I have some problems and can't work with it any more.

BTW again some real good animated stuff :bigthup :clap

Very good.

To get rid of all noise and fireflies you need to use high Samples, not less than 500-1000

Lets start animate racer-X Textlogga.

Image

1.
First we need to create your text. Select your text and hit Alt-C and to convert mesh from curve.

Image

2.
Press Shift+A and choose Lattice

Image
3.
Now we need to join text and lattice together.
First you select text and with Shiftbutton down you select Lattice and hit Ctrl+P and use Lattice Deform

Image
4.
Scale Lattice down to fit the text and use the numbers on Lattice.

Image

5.
This animation has 100 frames start on frame 1 (A) and end on frame 100 (B). There is 5 animated steps each step has 20 frames (C)
Each step has a key (D) and each animation has one handle to put right motion with. (E)

Image

6.
Start with framesettings always 20 frames on this project. Select the part you want to move (F) and drag the part to the possitions you like (G)

Image

7.
Between 1-2 you see the length of the animation. To confirm the settings you put your mauspointer on top of the handel och leftclick and hit Insert Keyframe (3)

Now you doing the same on the rest of the steps. You select lattisframes and move your handle.

Image
