Hey everyone. I'm a photographer that used to use GIMP back in highschool to color in line art that other people made on deviant art. I ended up experimenting with Graphic Design a bit in college, but always felt my creative home was with a camera. I've been using Adobe programs since college, and just recently made the switch back to open source software. Huge fan of darktable, btw.

I'm here to learn anything and everything I can. Mostly how to make my muscle memory forget Adobe's keybindings.

Hi fellow photographer and welcome to GIMP-chat! I've been off Adobe now for a few months. I also love Darktable, but use RawTherapee from time to time as well.

Cheers,

:gimp

What scenarios would you use RawTherapee over darktable? I haven't used that program yet.

Overall it has more features and when I need to do some extra lens distortion corrections, RawTherapee is much better. Darktable is more user friendly though.
