I used this "seamless" pattern for the "Mask Pattern"

Thank you so much Rod for your patterns. However, I don't get your Chewed Text filter works since I changed Gimp version.
Have you actualized it for Gimp 10 and I missed it? Thank you so much. :)

I have fixed all of my scripts to work in GIMP-2.10 versions.

I have attached the zip here for you.

The Chewed Text filter will run without the patterns that are default. You will get an error. Just pick the pattern and seamless mask you want to use in the dialog for the script. It will still work.

Use a regular pattern and a mask that has some transparency. That will work the best.

One more...

REMEMBER, you can move both TOP layers to get an even better chewed effect. Which is what i did to the above text.

Thank you so much Rod. I got it perfectly and I'm sure I'll continue using your scripts. :coolthup :tyspin

I'm having trouble getting the script to work. I'm using gimp 2.10.10 Windows 64. When I render it, all I get is a solid color square. (I used the size 500 x 300.)

mackenzieh, Let the text in alpha chanel layer and run the filter, I mean, close the eye at the background layer. Try it like that. :)

Nevermind. Thought it would be better if the shadow layer was under text-copy layer, but it doesn't matter.

Issabella, this is what I get when I tried it your way:

The script also keeps saying that the burger pattern isn't found when it is.

Rod,
This is what I get when I run the script using only the burger pattern:

mackenzieh, go to your Gimp patterns folder, and rename the patterns to:
Seamless-burger_RD.png
Shredded-Text-Mask.png

If you downloaded them from the post, they had numbers 1 and 7 in the end, which is why the script can't find them.

165 SF-PATTERN "Select Pattern" "Seamless-burger_RD.png"
166 SF-PATTERN "Select Mask Pattern" "Shredded-Text-Mask" (I changed this line 166 also in the script to)->

SF-PATTERN "Select Mask Pattern" "Shredded-Text-Mask.png"

I renamed the patterns and re ran the script. I still come up with this:
Image (1ST Image)

Image (2ND Image)

I changed the line in the script and it still didn't work. I still came up with the solid colored square. I have even followed the instructions for the filter to work and I still get the solid colored square. I give up. I am not using the portable version of gimp if that makes a difference. The one I am using is the current version from gimp.org.

You CANNOT run the filter with a background layer. It won't work. Delete the background layer and try again. :)
