New Style.
This one is very simple (and quick) and SHOULD not cause any Gimp shut-down like the previous one.
For safety I sent the WIP filter to my friend Issabella to have a double-check.
It is derived from the filter "script-fu-pastel-image" by <iccii@hotmail.com>.
With additional bells and whistles.

Here a couple of examples. using the same source image (FreeImages) and different parameters.

Thanks a lot Pat and Mahvin, I appreciate your comments.
Me too I like this simple method to obtain both simplified sketches (like the last one) or more detailed drawings like the previous ones.
And, yes Mahvin, I have to "send a cheque" to Issabella for her valid support in my initial phases.
