This is the very first thing I've saved using my tablet. I had started taking a tutorial and ended up with this piece. I must tell you...the possibilities are amazing me. I'm like a kid in a toybox unsure where to start. I hope it has a bit of an impressionist look, which is what I was going for. The photo is copyright free.
This is far from perfect and it was more an experiment, but I'm amazed at how it came out and had to share with my gimp family!

My first pears by Jorden, on Flickr

So much to learn...so unsure where to start!! I've spent the day watching videos and reading, browsing software applications, making sure it would work in Gimp....I'm in love and I'm so excited. I know this isn't much, but...omg...I just can't imagine how cool this is going to be.

Thanks for listening!!

Not bad for the first attempt in using a tablet. I use mine all the time now.

I was looking at all the detail you put into your work and the outcome is really incredible. At first glance I thought it was a photo where someone jostled the camera as the photo was taken and it got blurred just a little. Great first attempt! I couldn't even begin to do something like this. (jealous)
