Is there a script/filter out there or can one be written that will colorize, fill with gradient or pattern fill a selection in every layer at one time? There are so many i can't remember.

Great idea Barbie!
Add text in multiple layers and erase selected areas with feathering in multiple layers would be sweet. :)

Thanks for adding that.

I found this where you could make a text layer (or any layer) and then add it to all layers. But I'm on Gimp 2.6

Combine Active Layer with all Layers:

This works perfectly (Gimp 2.6)! Now I can remove the text and other stuff from one layer and it is removed from all layers. However, it would be much better if it ALSO had another choice for removing from all visible layers too.

Is it possible for someone to add that feature to it please? I'm thinking that a lot of the code is already there and would not be so much work to add that in. And then from there... also include the ability to fill in color/gradient in ALL layers and ALSO all visible layers.

Delete Selection All Layers
LOCATED HERE: Select > Delete Selection All Layers
This script quickly deletes the selected area on all layers in an image.

Has this script anything to do with the sg-combine background? I don't want to lose that script by replacing it.

No Molly !
I also have the "sg-combine background" and it is still there and still working. There is no interference. "sg-combine background" is located here:
Filters > Animation > "sg-combine background".

"sg-combine background" does not do the same task as "Delete Selection All Layers" which is located here:
Select > Delete Selection All Layers.
