Mandelbulb3D.. it is a quite amazing 3d fractal program, i never used 3d or fractal program before, i ignore the math and geometry behind the formulas but is somehow so friendly (even if doesn't look friendly at all at first look :hehe ) that i could start to play with it getting cool immediate results on the fly, and start learning in the process

Works well also in linux (with wine ) it is fee but not OS it is born by a collective research on the Fractalforums and aactually, as gmic a only man work for the core, with external apport for the filters...ooopss the "formulas" but "filters" is a perfect equivalent:

M3D uses "formulas" as a nodal editor uses filter:

Honestly in the last mouths i used only M3D , GMIC for postwork anf gimp almost only to load gmic and the images to edit
