we should thank also mahlvin, was his request.
i love that the BG may be transparent so more dots may be combined (as in the nice lylejk example )

La la la la la la, :yes

Love it, lots. Now we should have a polka dot contest to see who can come up with the coolest polka dot pattern. Have a vote, etc. Award the winner as Polka Dot (King or Queen). Perhaps give them an avatar crown to wear proudly.

Thanks, David!

Not easy to make an angled offset seamless; took it one step further too (3D). :)

That's cool! I'll be tinkering with it some here in a little while. Busy in the shop right now. :)

That's what it's suppose to do, is make polka dots. You can click "apply" , then change the color, and re-arrange the dots (angle, size, offsets), to suit. It would be easier if it allowed you to have more than one set of dots in play at one time, though (IMHO).

Thanks Molly. All I did what dup my dot effort and on the base layer I ran motion blur and then dupped the base layer till solid. Then, I created a fill layer just under the top layer solid black, set the layer to Overlay, and adjust the opacity to taste. Making it seamless is easy to do but hard to explain (and I have to go now; too lazy to explain anyway, but it involves x/2, y/2 offset and some copy/pasting). :)

just to add a few details
1 you need to start from a transparent layer
2 to add more colors to your dots you need to change output option to new layer (not to new active layer ) and click apply instead then ok

start with the size you wish and then change (shrink ) only the dot radius leaving other setting untouched
