I cannot find the filter I have used for this picture any more.

he4rty, thank you,
but the glass filter it is not.
The glass filter is repeating segments which this unknown filter does not.
This unknown filter was used by playing around in Gimp.
From my feeling it must be an artistic filter.
I have been searching in gimp a long time and cannot find out how I made it one month ago.

i dont think its pixelize, Graechan, because that filter makes each block a single color, while the squares in Manfred's picture have more than one color

Never knew that, see you learn something everyday.

I am impressed though how many non english speaking posters join these forums and never complain they just get on and post, some make posts more eligible than mine .

Thank you, he4rty.

What you said is a great encouragement to all those of us who are not native English speakers.

As for me, if I could, I would like to post in this forum a lot more than I do now, but I am always afraid to write some nonsense, fearing that my English is not up to the task.

Don't worry. Lately we'll finish writing here in gimpglish.
(I don't why there is an error in quoting)

I am very impressed too. Any one that can speak and write more than one language, is something to be proud of.

It looks like the 'Tiled rotation' filter from G'MIC, with an angle of 90°.
