Could you please explain WHAT you took over , Wolfgang Hofner left GAP development and you are continuing the project ?

A bit off topic maybe you may help me to find the most recent version (not build but the code for the last beta ) of GAP ? Found it seems no so easy as should

I still can't post links, but GIMP Chat has a thread called "Exact Align via 4-Point Path" and there on page 2 is this quote from the GIMP mailing list:

The GNOME Git repository is the host of the GAP's source code, just as it is for the GIMP's.
