As a comparison this is in PCLOS and Wine 1.4.1 & 3 GHz 2 core + 2GB ram

Don't know that it is that much faster, very much depends on the brush. Might help kimppi if decides not to wait for a linux version.

Nah, I bought it already. But even if it's a bit slow, it seems to do quite a lot of calculation and I'm quite impressed. 1920x1080 (HD) works. Now I need to understand how this supports animation...?

Even Peter said it isn't supposed to be this slow. :)
Especially with the settings i was using. It should be very fast with a smaller canvas size (800x600), detail at 1 and AA Super Smoothing off.

Okay this is weird. I started windows in safe mode and Flame Painter 2 Pro works very fast now and Flame Painter 1.7 is very slow. How strange.

Just got the update (2.2 now) so felt like playing with it. A bug was fixed that now make making this type of preset seamless so I did. lol
