1. How to compile a static version
I believe you need the static version of Qt. I compiled Qt using
MXE which is a set of scripts that creates a cross compile environment. It downloads and compiles Qt as static libraries.

2. What is the best approach to the translation of the program?
From Qt Creator edit translations/translations.pri
Example to add an English translation:
TRANSLATIONS += $$PWD/data/translations/knotter_it.ts \
$$PWD/data/translations/knotter_cs.ts \
$$PWD/data/translations/knotter_en.ts
Note the backslash after knotter_cs.ts
The new file is knotter_
language-code.ts
Then (still from creator) use Tools > External > Linguist > Update translations (lupdate)

How did you learn to write so good programs?
I learned by myself, I spend
a lot of time on the computer and I have always liked programming.

You write a few words about yourself?
There's not much to say, I'm studying computer science at the university of Padua and I like a lot programming.
