Agreed, polishing it further would make this in a very different style of image. Thanks for the comment. I wanted to convey something without going into something gory.

One's so used to spend time on the face that it actually feels a bit weird to leave it out. On the other hand, hinting at the 3D-topology of the face with minimal light like this helps one to appreciate the shape of the face in another way, so it's really pretty educational in itself. Glad you like the light!
