! yeah, i liked the song even more after mum had explained the lyrics to me (i was only ten or eleven when it came out and only understood "luftballons"), but i think lots of people just liked the tune.
esper: thank you! in sweden we love making fun of the german language - it's similar enough to swedish to sound comical - but no one ever made fun of 99 luftballons and the english version never made it here, we prefer the original.
