Wallace has generously provided a lot of emaps over the last few days, so I thought it about time we put some quality Aussie furniture timbers on display ...

The names are really misnomers as, despite their close grains, neither is oak or ash; actually both timbers are eucalypts.

Here is a zip folder containg the emaps; enjoy!

I think we need a dark Aussie furniture timber too, so here, from the tip of south western Australia is a Jarrah emap ...

... and yes it is another eucalypt!!

Here's the leather E-Map I've been working on.
I'm not sure if it works that well in all situations, but it worked on this type and size of text.
It may work really well on smaller text or shapes,
but that has yet to be determined.

Note: Round 1 was used as the bevel type when running BRL.

I made this BRL e-map out of a fractal from Fractal Explorer.

Thanks Wallace, leather map has a good look. I'll test it.

Thanks OMG, I love that map yours. lovely redish wood. :tyspin

Thanks Kimba, yours is very nice and I like the result created with your map, too.

The leather map is cool Wallace. You're right, even the wood emaps work better with certain fonts. Personally, I think a wood and leather pattern overlay would work better. Then it wouldn't look stretched out in certain areas.

I agree.
Maybe if one runs a grayish/white e-map in BRL on some text.
Then an overlay of wood or leather texture.
Might look pretty good.
Haven't tried this out myself yet though.

I made this one from one of my 3D fractals

Thank you. I'll try to make some more but I'm a little rusty with Mandelbulb3D.
