Special Needs Girl gets kicked out of movie theater for laughing

I don't know about you, but I think it's sad that the girl was kicked out of the theater.

It is sad that she had to leave, but the other people at the movie also paid to see and hear the film and the child laughing made it very difficult to concentrate.

The theater manager offered a special showing so the family could see it, and the family opted not to; their money was refunded.

Although it sounds cruel and heartless, it is also in the best interest of the many, not the one person. :popcorn

Actually it sounds like it was the parent or guardians
fault. Once the girl started making a disruption, that
was disturbing the other patrons, the parent knowing
of this possibility should have got up with the girl
and left the establishment, and then made some other
kind of arrangement for the girls to be able to see
the movie.

That's true, the family was offered something but I think it was still wrong.

I feel that the people that made the complaint (due to the circumstances) should have been the ones to be asked if they would like to leave. Or make some other arrangement for "them" so they could watch the move in a way that would make them happy.
It's one thing when this is done with intent, but this is a child for crying out load.
No pun intended...

BTW... The report said that only 2 people made a complaint.

You are so right. A family can pay $100+ to see a film these days and should not be subjected to loud adults or children. In the case of children, it is 100% the parents responsibility to ensure their child is not a distraction. It would be very rude indeed to allow a baby to continually cry during the screening of a film. The fact that this was a "special needs" child makes it even more incumbent on the parents to be aware of potential problems.

Refunding the money was the appropriate action on behalf of the manager. Offering a special showing was very thoughtful and kind. The managers actions went above and beyond what was required.
