Hi! I'm uzu, a self-diagnosed artist!

It's been a long time since I interacted with forums of any sort, but I thought I would join here as well because I love GIMP and the people who use it and make it!
I've been using GIMP on and off all my life. It came on a compat disc with a pc magazine I think and I started using it for photo manipulation and then more for texture editing for games like quake 3 and jedi knight 2 in 2007. This practice slowly transitioned into doing digital art from scratch. Since I've been using mouse all my life and didn't have much clue about online tutorials (especially in english) when I started, I pretty much had to figure out my own methods.

Now, after a very long hiatus, my interest to study art came back and fired up GIMP once again to help me become a digital art god, but I may still end up selling cookies instead, who knows...
I'm still learning art, the program (forget today, re-learn tomorrow) and fine-tuning the tools GIMP offers, my workflow, etc. I find GIMP to be a very mouse-friendly art and image manipulator program but I'm not spoiled by Photoshop, so how would I know? I have also tried many other art programs out there I could get my hands on and I honestly like all of them for what they are but GIMP has a special place in my heart and I wish I could help making it more popular or greater for all the help and joy it gave me.
Anyways... Do not think that I'm an art machine though, I have an army of unfinished projects that I'm hoping to finish once I finally make up my mind what GIMP theme I choose to stick with.

It can happen any minute now!
