I want to make a video for my "about" page on my blog.
I wanted ideas on how to make it?

I mean like what would make a video exciting and how long should I make it so it's not boring.
10 minutes seems much too long and 1 minutes seems like I have nothing to offer.


Any ideas at all on anything! I'll keep them in a mental folder even if I don't use them now.

i think influences are a great way to show who you are

all i know about you, is from this forum and your art

you are very much into archetypical feminine things for starters
you seem to like ballet, furries and in general cute and positive things

so where does all that come from ?
answering those questions could make an interesting video

we dont know if people are interested enough in your person just because they are visiting your blog
but i think that is not the point
you want to make a video about yourself and probably for the fun too

so just show your influences and dont bother too much what would be perceived as egocentric and what not
people can always stop the video

my guess is you dont have any training in videomaking
(neither have i, all i have ever done was joining an mp3 with a picture with Windows Movie Maker and uploding it to youtube)

so probably you want to do something picture heavy, like a slideshow with some comments in textform over it and maybe a bit of music or some funky blending of the individual pics
(remember Star Wars - A New Hope ? they had some weird blending to the next scene
never seen it ? watch it and steal all the ideas !)

i would go with a punk attitude and make all your weaknesses into strengths
no training in video-editing ? make it a part of the style !

Moko, from what I have seen so far of all your work from way back in GT, you have a great future in the art world.
Just keep on with your style that you made your own and you will go a long way.

May i suggest to make it a short video (about 2 -3 minutes) on why you like/create your type of art and what influenced you.

If you don't think you'll feel comfortable appearing on camera, you could always do a time lapse of yourself drawing something and then add the voice in over top, or no lapse and just talk and draw, maybe even explaining why or how you are doing things. Materials used and so on

Ofc I have seen Star wars! some of my favorite movies!

Yes shorter sounds better! I am working on different ways to go about it, one thing I want to keep focus on is the fact as it's for the blog, although in a way "I am the blog" the blog has a purpose and I want to be balanced between talking about little ole me and talking about my wannabe-helpful blog.
