Maybe we should have some international day as a special day too and make sure we don't have it the same as most countries 'special days'?

I think that's a good suggestion, sallyanne.

The only international holiday that we actively celebrate on GC is the the new year.

I attempted to build support for International GIMP Day, which a couple of us celebrate (here & here).

The big ones we celebrate here in the USA are Independence Day (July 4th) and Christmas, which kinda flows into the new year. Halloween is a fun day to celebrate because it's a good excuse to make cool banners, sigs and signs.

I'm certainly open to celebrating international holidays or holidays celebrated in any of our member's countries. :bigthup

Even though I don't live in the USA I still feel my freedom is assured by having 'Big Brother' around so Happy 4th of July to Everyone

A birthday is a good time to have an International Day. Two fold. Help us not forget when Gimp was first available to us all and that it is in many languages.
