Nice VW bug 'O' it takes me back many years ago to my younger days when my brother and me were transporting some plants of questionable legality in the back of his combi and it konked out and refused to start until a nice policeman pulled up and gave us a push.
WHEW that was close!

Thanks. I have no idea what periodic painter is. I found a photo of a pot leaf, resized it, made seamless, saved as a pattern.

Hi D4rkheart,

G'MIC added support for multi-threading so you'll need to update the G'MIC command string in Release V5 of this script to add new arguments for that.

Locate the following string
"-gimp_dreamsmooth 2,1,1,0.8,0,0.8,0"

Change to
"-gimp_dreamsmooth 2,1,1,0.8,0,0.8,1,24,0"

Save and refresh Script-Fu scripts.

There was talk of having GMIC automatically detect the number of CPUs but 'm not sure where that stands. For now, any script which uses a GMIC function that has new arguments for multi-threading, will need to be updated, as highlighted below.

Dream Smoothing
2 = Iterations
1 = Equalize at each step (0=False, 1=True)
1 = Merging 1="alpha"
.80 = Opacity
0 = Reverse Order (0=False, 1=True)
.80 = Smoothness
1 = Number of threads (CPU's)
24 = Spacial overlap
0 = Preview type (0=Full)

Greachan can update the script to allow the user specify the new arguments, as they will differ from PC to PC. I use a Quad Core CPU so I specify 4 in the "Number of Threads" argument.

Ohhh, same here :(

GnuTux, thanks for the info. But I do not mess with these codes.

Greachan, any chance there's an update in the script?
Thx in advance!

Same with me. I'm using the Beta version of g'mic & when I applied the wisps filter to the image I was using g'mic still crashed.

Tried with your string and it works well, thanks.
I'll stay tuned for others changes.

d4rkheart, does the modified pencil shade script work in the 1.5.7.0 beta version of g'mic? I ask because that's what I use.

@mackenzieh, @Akros
I'm using g'mic 1.5.7.1 32 bit on notebook dualcore and g'mic doesn't crash (is only slow), actual version beta is 1.5.7.2.
Wait graechan update, i'm sure that he'll solve this problem.
