I managed to follow a tutorial that I found online.

There seems to be a faint oval within the image, I don't know if it's helpful to the image or not.
Nice work all the same though. xd

I tried following the tutorial and it called for the last layer to be on overlay at 50%, so I did that.. at least I think I did. Thanks for the feed back.

It's a good first attempt at creating glass text, mackenzieh.

You can get, pretty much, the same effect by applying an inner shadow that's same color as the text so you might want to play around with that.

Check out this tutorial by Ron Scott, where he demonstrates how to get a pretty nice glass effect. That is the tutorial I used as a basis for the Glass Effect Text Script, as well as the Glass Effect routines in the Logo Toolbox.

i would say its an inner glow, as an inner shadow normally has an offset, but its more or less the same technique

You're right, Esper. Technically, that would be a glow (inner), which is just a shadow with zero x/y translations.
