Scripts "Fire works (feu d'artifice)" and "Sweet candy text"

Error: eval: unbound variable:gimp-image-insert-layer

What do I make to correct the scripts?
Windows XP
Gimp version 2.8.4

Not sure about the fireworks script, but you can get a working copy of the Sweet Candy Text here...

That version is compatible with both GIMP 2.6.x and GIMP 2.8.x.

I have zipped the two scripts you requested after I tested them on Gimp 2.8.6.

Thanks guys for the attention. The script "Sweet candy text" now runs very well but the new "Fireworks" you sent me allways give me the same error message: "error: eval: unbound variable: gimp-image-insert-layer".
Please, what does it mean? I can't understand the error message.

It means that a variable is not correctly handled but i can't see any error , i even doubt may be errors if not by copy and paste

Did you tried Rod copy ?

anyway the author of the script ,Samj, often visit this side maybe she may help more

Hi Carlos,
I would check to make sure you don't have multiple copies of the same fire works script.

Check your Gimp Edit->Preferences Then under Folders, see what entries you have for Scripts.
Then check those folder locations for multiple copies of the fireworks script, making sure you just keep one copy of the new version.

Hope that may lead to an answer for you.

Thanks for the help. Yes, I've tried the Rod's copy and I had the same error message.
I checked my files's scripts (Documents and settings>Master>GIMP 2.8>Scripts) )and I don't have two copies of the same script (feu d'artifice - fireworks).

This is a procedure database call error. Sounds like you are trying to run the script in Gimp-2.6.
Are you sure you are using Gimp-2.8?

Thanks Rod and samj. Now the script runs very well. It's amazing to make fireworks using a variety of colours.
