As I'm new to the forums I thought I'd post an image of some artwork I have created, this is one of my favourites, mainly because it had so many different elements to get right and it all came together fairly well.

That is excellent. You've got a lot of talent. If you want to learn lots of other ways of doing metal, try Draconian's tutorials. That's how I learnt.

Thanks, I've been reading through those and the other tutorials, one of the reasons I decided to join.

Been having a play with the logo, now bare in mind that the city where the club is held is famous for its concrete cow sculpture.

Nice one he4rty. Looks like a study in shapes. For something like that, light and shadows are the real challenge. Looks like you are almost there.

Where can I get Draconian's tutorials?

I was never overly happy with the text, so armed with the knowledge of GnuTux's professional way of making text decided to revist the design, also had a play with the shadows. From what I remember the background colour was what the club wanted.

It looks good. Interesting effect on the shadow. Reminds me of the shadows that the players cast during a football match when the floodlights are turned on.

he4rty: that looks great! i like the shadows very much - even before i read what caz said about the football players and the floodlight i actually got some vague associations to something to do with sports. :hehe the text is very professional looking, it makes a nice contrast to the playful juggler's equipment.

Thanks for the lovely comments, funny thing is the shadows and the sport never crossed my mind till I read about it in the comments but I can see and I think works with the image as its more of a physical activity.

I think the "middle" shadow might be a bit over doing it but none the less still very super nice! Good work! :D

There is only 2 shadows, the idea being one goes towards the left and the other the right, the shadow that goes in the direction of the main light source is stronger than the other and then you get a slightly stronger part in the middle where they cross, or that's the effect I was aimimg for.

Thanks for the comment though.

conbagui - thnaks.
