I thought I'd have a go with my friends kitty Leo. More practice I do and I'll get better at it :0

The fur itself is very well done! I think the muzzle is a bit long and lopsided, he looks more like a rugged big cat and not a house cat with softer features. - The 2 black lines attaching the "bridge" of the nose is throwing it off a bit.
The fur again is very nice but the cat seems to be in whole not have much form it looks a bit too square (in my eyes).

Shading is better! But I think a little more dynamic (depending on the style you want) would be better.

All in all nice work! Keep it up. :D

You've got a lot of talent Lorri. You are very good at painting animals and this is a lovely cat portrait. Just keep enjoying what you do and you will get better and better.

Moko it's very hard when doing this fir the first time. I know it will take me a while to get where I want.

Erisian Have you seen any of my graphite pet ports? I have a few of them on fb. It runs in the family. I taught myself how to draw.

I haven't seen them Lorri but I've seen some of your earlier stuff on Gimp Chat and I've left a few comments too but you weren't around at the time. I've always liked your work, particularly the birds.

haha, it reminds me of Grumpy Cat!
Anyway, I think the shading on the snout is what makes the nose look a little crooked, as well as what Moko said. Great job with the fur, especially like the white hairs on the ears. I think the whiskers could be just like that to stand out a bit more.
