I've released a small update of the G'MIC framework, numbered 1.5.7.1.
There are mainly improvements for the parallel stuffs I've recently introduced in G'MIC, so it should be easier in the future to parallelize algorithms. The FFT computation has been improved too.

Here is the complete Changelog :

Binaries are under construction for linux32, linux64 and win32, as usual ;)

Thank you David!
Multi core support is a very good thing.

Hello.
In G'MIC 1.5.7.1, when I select the filter Artistic > "Pastell Art" makes G'MIC closes with "fatal error: Segmentation fault".

Someone with the same problem?

Linux Kubuntu 12.04 64bits.

Not in 64-bit Windows Yafu; not sure about 32-bit Windows. :)

Should have said not a problem. It works fine in 64-bit G'MIC. :)

This looks really great, I'm practically drooling at the new parallel stuff... hopefully not too long before I can spend more time on it again :yes

Just tried the Pastell Art filter and it works fine for me. I'm running Linux Mint 15 64-bit.

When you select OR when you try to apply ?

Pastell Art is a very intensive , the "fatal error" may be related to image too big for the available RAM
This of course if crashes AFTER you click "apply" or OK

if happens before just selecting it, then is something else , that i can't replicate on Windows

Thanks people for taking your time to do the test.
@PhotoComix: just selecting it, and with any image. When I try to open G'MIC again it closed because it started using that filter. So I must restart GIMP to G'MIC not start with that filter.
This problem did not occur in previous 1.5.7.1 versions. I have a lot of RAM. Could it be a problem related to the parallelization and my 8 threads?

Edit:
I found that the problem also occurs with the filter Details > Make Up. Are these filters related in any way?

I'm still using the Beta version & I just now noticed that there is no Enhancement filter. Why is that?

I just downloaded the gmic_1.5.7.1_amd64.deb from sourceforge but when I try to install it I only get dependency errors: libhighgui2.1 and libcv2.1 are needed - but they are not availabe for Debian, not even in stable anymore. The oldest versions available are 2.3. I wonder on what kind of old system the file was compiled/packaged. Would be great if the dependencies could be changed to current available packages.
