Several people have asked to hear a sample of my music so I thought I'd just post one here. This is a tune I wrote just after my father passed away from cancer. He was a musician, as well. While I've performed this song live several times, I've never shared a recording.

This recording is from on older mix down because I'm not ready with the final mix just yet. I hope you enjoy the song and you get something out of it.

Thank you Gnutux. That was very touching. I just lost my father a month ago today, so that hit a huge chord with me. That would of been a great song to play at his memorial.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. I'm so pleased the song had an impact. I've always felt the purpose of music is to stir emotion. The song was easy to write because every word is true and the emotions are real.

Great song! I'm so sorry for your dad. It's always hard to deal with the loss, and you did it in the most beautiful way possible. Your song reminds me of another song dedicated to the loss of a parent:

Now i have grabbed the mp3 and am wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing the chords? You see i play guitar as well an acoustic Jasmine. My brother passed in 2007 and he also played the guitar. So this song really hit home with me as well.
