So the card site I have been using enables you to have a second image on the back of the card, thought this would be a good opportunity to explore a possible logo for my cards.

The name came about because I was trying to think what a card meant, I came to the conclusion that it marks an occasion in a persons life, not always a happy occasions, hence the word "events" rather than something more joyous sounding.

After reading some blogs on logo design I came up with this list of things I wanted to convey in the design.

1. My initial just happen to be LF so thought it would be fun to make the lf of Life stand out more than the i and e.
2. Wanted to convey the idea of life as a journey, went with the single path labyrinth idea to symbolise this meaning of journey.
3. the colours where just decided from the use of a colour wheel.

Done two versions one for a black background and one for a white background.

The life text was created by me so I could get it to fit how I wanted and the event text used the font imitation.

Now have the logo printed on the back of the card

he4rty: i really like that logo. it suits your work very well, it's playful but professional looking. i think logos today tend to be a bit too minimalistic and discreet at the cost of making a lasting impression, this is much more something i would want myself if i ever needed a logo.

I think it's well made!
The side by side of text and the maze thingy seems a bit bland to me, though.

Nice work all the same! :D

Thanks for the comments, I did considered overlaying the text on top of the maze or making the maze rounded, somethings I might still try.

It is very nice. Would the word LIFE be too busy if it was bumped up a bit or a bit shiny. or would that spoil it. I think it would look cool.

I like much both
If placed together i would suggest to reduce the black space at left and right and increase at the center , they fit well together but i believe they would do better no so close ...no much less but a bit less

Great logo. I wonder if you can do a version for smaller size...maybe simplify the maze just a bit...fewer paths. I think the current maze might not print well if it was really small...might lose the look of a maze?

Thank you all for the feedback and comments, the cards are have a glossy finish, so hopefully it shouldn't really need more work to get some shine to it. I have a card in the post now with logo on the back so I'll be able to access the results of how it printed soon.

This was all done for a bit of fun anyways.

The prices are very good and the colours have come out well on the two cards printed so far.

Moko -Missed your post earlier, the film strip is part of the card template and your upload photo is fitted into it.
Erisan - Thanks.
