So here's one of my space scenes as a mural on a wall. I made the wall, and sidewalk and all the grass and moss in gimp. I didn't use any external textures. The space scene is one of my originals too. Everything in that was also made in gimp by me. So this isn't a manipulation. I like how it all came together here. Any crits welcome.

Update: Here's version 2 after a little rework. I tried to age it a little.

It looks really good, just point out that if you have moss growing over the painting shouldn't it look more worn and aged.

That is quite nice EK. I really like the cracked stucco wall, and the cracks and grass growing up between the brick walk

Excellent work ek. The space scene is fantastic but the textures are incredible.

It should yeah, when I came back to it I noticed the same thing. This is what happens when I gimp until 5 am. I might give this a rework and see if I can grunge it more. I was just ready for sleep so I threw it out to the sharks.

i like the texture on the wall and i like the composition. i don't know if you remember i thought your space scenes were a bit too strict in their composition for my taste? well, after seeing one put up as a mural i've changed my mind :)! it's a lovely space scene and blown up big on a wall the composition would be excellent.

Thanks AnMal. You were right though about the compositions I posted here. they were densely clustered. In some cases probably too much. I keep doing them that way and it's really hard for me not to overcrowd my scene. Probably a newbie mistake. I'm also feeling walls a lot. I have no idea why. But I keep coming back to it. This was the first time I made my own wall though without help from photos or premade textures.
