Text folders..where do they go?

I want to get a few more text patterns for my Gimp but I have no idea where they go?

Oh forgot to mention, running Windows XP OS

Text patterns go in the Patterns folder. Windows Vista and 7 = C:\Users\username\.gimp-2.6\patterns

Linux = home/username/.gimp-2.6/patterns

There is a folder in your user docs under the gimp-2.6 directory named fonts - put them there.
If they are patterns (images), put them in the patterns folder as Mahvin stated.

I actually have text patterns, which is what I thought she meant. I never thought about fonts, thanks guys.

I should mention that if they are TTF or OTF files (font file extensions),you can place them in any folder you want.Just make sure you create a path to them via Edit/Preferences/Folders/Fonts. So Gimp can find and load them on start-up.
