I have my disc (got it in the mail last week)
Should get my tax refund in 8 more days, and then im going to buy a new machine with humoungous room and ram.
Then i will try Linux. =)

Well, I did manage to download Linux to a CD to use it without putting it on my machine...hopefully tuesday I can get some time to try it out. Not sure how I can transfer ALL my bazillion of pics and graphics if I decide to dump windows!

Interesting considering this is my first 24 hours with linux and it's on my other monitor as i read that page. I wonder how much of it is true? Most things that sound too good to be true usually are too good to be true. But it IS interesting and I'll explore all of it. For now I'm concentratimg on installing software without using the the Software center. Not a lot of success yet.

I'm sort of curious at why you're attempting to do that? For practice? You can actually open terminal and watch software as its being installed, it sort of gives you a general idea of how the install rolls out.
