A comfortable moment with my troll Merchant character Blackback. Made as a Father's day card.
Before anyone wonders, this character has adiapose legs, so the legs/knees are supposed to look weird.

Some cute little details in this, so do look around a bit.

Very nice, but is that a hand on the wall like a trophy?

Excellent work as usual, all looks very homely and being a Dad I can honestly say I feel and most probably look like that sometimes. It has the sense that after a hard day with the Kids, who have just gone to bed, Dad can now relax and morph back into his old self rather than the monster he feels he has become.

Great work. I like the sketchy painterly style. And...

Is his left arm missing? Is the hand on the wall his?

I noticed that too raptor (that his left arm from the elbow down was missing)....But didn't say anything before because no one else seemed too.

Is that a dooby in his mouth? Or a tusk of sorts?
I like the chair looks comfy too me.

No it's not, it was an old version of the image that ended up there. Fixed now.

He is a great character - lots of fun and as usual, this is a great painting!

Working on a surf tablet for sketching is interesting in order to test out concepts. If anyone's interested, this is the tablet sketch:

I have never heard of a surf tablet. looks cool, I must Google it right now.

When I say surf tablet, I just mean a normal tablet computer (it's surfplatta in Swedish, shouldn't do a direct translation to English, heh).
I have a Thinkpad tablet which is a decent Android tablet with a pressure-sensitive pen (which something like Ipad does not have). Unfortunately I'm not aware of any relevant FOSS graphics software on tablets so I use Sketchbook Pro there.

o, okay, thanks Griatch. I was just googling and didn't get anywhere. I have a mini ipad but I am sure it can't be used for drawing or painting to my knowledge. Would be cool though.

I think you can install the portable version of MyPaint to Ipad.

I really like how you mastered chiroscuro Griatch. I especially like renders like the one shown since it reminds me a lot of the feel you get of Degas (lighting; not subject matter. lol). Degas is one of my favorite artists.
