I live not far from the cenotaph, they just did a flyby with all the old war planes.

Always a proud day for me as an ex servicewoman in Australia. A great feeling to have served. I wasnt involved directly in any conflicts but served in WRAAC from 1968 to 1971 as an ordnance clerk....never did get to count blankets but did the office work...

I remember. It makes me sad how my generation looks down on the military. If it wasn't for them they'd all BE in the military like North Korea or China, have as much freedom too.

In Aus. it's called Remembrance day and it's the day the guns on the Western front in WW1 fell silent

It is also called Remembrance day here in Canada and I imagine maybe in Europe too.

It's referred to as Armistice Day in many parts of the world.
