Error Help Please

GIMP Version: 2.8.10 64 bit
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: Windows 7 Home 64 bit
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

Hiya, I keep getting this error when I try to open XCF file directly from file. I have set the default to open these these files with Gimp. I can access these files when gimp is open. I have reinstalled but still same problem. Can anybody advise me please, thanks

You may need to replace that specific dll, thing happen and who knows why, I don't know. I found this link to download this dill that the error is saying it can't find. http://originaldll.com/file/libgio-2.0-0.dll/31324.html
You will have to locate this dll file in order to replace it. Do a search for this particular dll file and note it's location. Once you have it's location you can replace it.
Most dll file of this kind can be found in, C:/windows/system32...

...or it might be a duplicate DLL. Have you installed or uninstalled anything recently?

Thanks....searched for the file and it does not exist so can not replace it. Will download file and see what happens

Nope, not going to work. Oh well spose I will just have to cope lol. Just annoys me when things don't work lol.

I've done a search for this dll file and found it. If you look at the screen shot below, you will see where this dll file is located at and where it belongs or is supposed to be.

I've also made a copy of this dll file and attached it for you to use if you like.

This is happening when libraries are incompatible with the system,Wallace to provide a library for 32-bit. In the Annex file libgio-2.0-0.dll gimp-2.8-64bit. It should be installed in C: \ Program Files \ GIMP 2 \ bin \ libgio-2.0-0.dll
