I used the scubadoo font and then ran your embroidery script. I think to make it look like it should, find the skinniest font you have and try that, then run your script on a selected font in transparent layer. I have so many fonts, I got tired of looking.
In satin stitch embroidery, the stitches should be horizontal and close together, not diagonal, this is what they use when they make those professional embroidered badges etc.

I have made enough of them with the needle and embroidery thread. :teeth

You can kind of fake it with my thatch script viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7863&start=20#p102174

It did take a fair bit of playing afterward to get a satin effect.
