Works great for me.
You mentioned last night you couldn't find your default brushes.
In Gimp > brushes, right click on brush sets > then unclick the brushes you have selected.
You should now have only your default brushes there.
They are the brushes that were included in your Gimp install.
They are stored in a different place, gimp-2.0-share, I believe.
No matter how many brush sets you select, the default brushes will still be there.
