Believe it or not, I thought O already posted this, and I searched for it and couldn't find it (must be imagining things) anyway, I found this script to be pretty cool.

To grab it at the Registry, click here: http://registry.gimp.org/node/25044

Sam actually made some mods to the script to add cubism and bevel/emboss to mortar. I prefer bump mapping, but this effect still looks good, and I believe O has a pretty good example to share as well.

So do you have to have the script fu Layerfx filter to make the bevel emboss work? Or does it now work with the Python version?

I have Script-Fu >Layer Effects. Bevel & Emboss works, itself, but the brick wall script only works if Bevel and Emboss is turned off.

What i did was add the scm script LayerFX with the Python script, and it worked excellent PM. :)
So i have LayerFX.scm in my scripts folder and LayerFX.py in my plug-ins folder. Both seem to run fine installed together. And the brick wall script will run with B&E on.

You may have been thinking of the image I posted over at the registry (me=zarnad).

I like your idea of using a bump map on the bricks plus cubism on the clouds layer.

I used cubism plus another layer using the Hurl filter set very low that gives a bit of a pitted look to the bricks. I merged the hurl layer to the cubism'd layer. Then I bump mapped only the red layer.

Next Bevel & Embossed the mortar layer. I used a very gentle pick on the two layers generated by B&E and the mortar layer (be sure to unlock the transparency on the shadow and highlight layers).

I haven't downloaded the updated version of the filter yet. This was all done with the original version.

What I had was an older version of Layer Effects. Downloading Layer FX solved this problem beautifully!

Very pretty Liana. I love your wrought iron fence and the graffiti.

I had interesting colors with v2 of the script. The inset color sample is the color I used in the script for brick color and got a multicolored set of bricks. I do like the texture in v2.

Thanks O. I used brushes for all the extras a couple of them i made myself the horse was a pic i found and hoof prints i created it from scratch. I like the color variations too. I found if i switched the brick color to a tan or grey and moved up the color variation to 40 I would get colors throught out the spectrum pastels though. I made a new brush with a grape vine clipart i found on the inkscape open clipart site.

@ Liana: Your vines are nice. Very pretty.

@ Greg: SWEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!! (Now you have me using your language.)

With your tip about color, Liana, I made the color variations less and came up with more consistent color. Played with the airbrush for my spray-painted look.
