Hello there,
I'm happy to announce the release of a new G'MIC version, numbered
1.5.8.5.
It consists mainly of bug-fixes, with some improvements for the command '-text'. Nothing really outstanding, but the release was ready, and we are slowly preparing ourselves for the Libre Graphics Meeting, in two weeks. So no more time to code or add new features into G'MIC before the meeting !
Changelog :Quote:
New features :
- Output PANDORE-5 file. (extension .pan) now accepts datatype option as well.
- Added new tutorial pages (written by Garry Osgood) to the G'MIC web pages.
Improvements:
- Command '-replace_seq' has been greatly optimized and now allows to replace values by nothing (so discard them).
- When encountering an error caused by double quotes not closed in a G'MIC command file, the error message now contains informations on the line number as well the the filename, to ease locating the error.
- Command '-compress_rle' now accepts two parameters 'is_binary_data' and 'maximum_sequence_length' for more flexibility in the encoding.
- Command '-text' improved : Mostly recoded (should be slightly faster due to font cache added), and embedded font data have been modified and compressed. All available size now use the same font class (DejaVu Sans). Character set has been extended to ISO/IEC 8859-1 + additional symbols (for some unused characters in ISO charset).
Bug fixes:
- Command '-output' : saving a list of numbered images with type forced now works as expected (e.g. $ gmic image.jpg --mirror x --mirror y -output bmp:foo_filename ).
- Fixed regression introduced in 1.5.8.4 : Mathematical expressions starting with '>' or '<' were not working as expected.
