Very nice Wallace, looks good with the fatter text, and love the dots.

Thanks Molly.
The text is the same one that Issabella used for the tut, same size too 130. I guess it may appear fatter the usual. The dots are a pattern I got form DA. I've used this pattern a lot and like it very much.

I said at the beginning where this tutorial came from. I'm sorry you didn't see it yesterday. jamac4k, I and many members of this forum appreciate his tutorial very much. I took notes from which you gave to know by internet in 2010. I did some changes, and that is all. :tyspin

Every thing is cool. I like the border on your sig Issabella, looks like embossing.

Thanks Issabella. :bigthup
I installed the "Script-Fu" bevel/emboss, because I didn't have it.
I did have the Python version installed, but this created a layer grouping and added an extra step. By having to merge visible layers, and then having to next merge the layer group.
The python version also has a different dialog for setting the variables.

Fantastic effect jamac4k, I love it with its subtle shadow. Thank you so much. I'll try to do it. :clap

#Issabella:
In this way you must preserve a copy of the text (or shape) layer to apply on it Kward1979uk's filter, use the Kward's drop shadow.

Kward1979uk's glass filter

Looks very nice Dalia, especially with that pretty background.

I have both of kwards scripts and have had them for years but I don't know how or where the shadow one is.

Thanks molly. Question, I downloaded the kward script and place it in my scripts folder and restarted Gimp - where would it show up? I can't find it.

under filters, go down to Kward1979uk, that is where his glass script is but I don't know what to do with it, I am still looking for the drop shadow

Here is a little tip, When ever you are looking for a script or plug-in,
In Gimp, click Help > Plug-in Browser, then type in Glass, all the scripts with glass will come up. it will show you where it is located, In this case it is Kward glass script.

Whoa! Thank you again molly - great tip! Found it and ran it. I think the drop shadow is part of the script. There is a very nice faint shadow which makes the text lift off the background or am I seeing things.

I ran the script but it didn't look anything like that, did you do other things before you ran the script?
