I've been modifying the Greenheart theme. Not perfect, and not for everyone, but I like it so far:

I like the color of the text and also the other green colors used for the theme.
BTW... Nice new avatar you got there as well. :bigthup

Thanks Wallace. It's been kinda fun. Modding the gtkrc has been an education.

Thought I'd go with a change of avatar and sig. Wilber the warrior, haha.

Sure can. I'm pretty much done with it. I may change a few things though.

Thanks conbagui, appreciate it. That looks awesome. I tried a few patterned backgrounds, but haven't come up with the right combo yet.

Does it concern you that having colours in the user interface will skew your colour perception of any images you are working on?

For reference, this post about the creation of symbolic icons to avoid the "full color icons that are often characterized as distracting": https://plus.google.com/+gimp/posts/cBcJqwCaJTB

Not even remotely. Have been using it like this for awhile now. No problems here.

i made a new dir inside, the your theme folder Grechan made,
with 8 or 10 sub dir's named betty, tree, burlesque...
put one file in each one, all named table.png, then i can
copy the file table.png two dir's foreward
so gimp will have a different theme each time
i start up, distracting maybe a little, but i guess it
depends on your level of concentration.

also usa-patriot spherical emap not seamless

Warrior

your art is great, and as my favorite color is green,
i think you should publish it, so the rest of us can
have a little green.

Thanks man, appreciate it. I may publish it, but I still have a few bugs to work out.

Did a little more work on this last night. Gave the slider, and progress boxes a green gradient, and also the button perimeters.

I like the way that looks. :bigthup
Green is my second favorite color. I was in the Army for quite a while, and in every way, green was my color back then. :hehe
Will you make this theme available for download?
Also, how do you think a "green camouflage pattern" might work with your theme?

camo might look pretty good, but
adding the pattern to the green
makes it, a sort of camo at least
in most places around the globe,
except for all desert areas, and
i think Warrior's colors are excellent.

Thanks Wallace, appreciate it. Camo could be cool. You could always colorize it to fit the colors of the theme. I'll probably make it available. I still have a few things that just aren't quite right yet though.

Thanks Mike, appreciate it. I've always thought blue and lime green went well together. More teal than blue, but still works.

I love how easy it is to read the bright green text!

It really does pop. I've been enjoying using this theme so far. Like I said, a few bugs to work out, but I'll get there.

Got the handle stretchers colored, as well as the thumb grips on the slider bars colored. Also, the opacity bar is teal now:

Image

Also, got the box colored that highlights the selection, as in the "Invert Bumpmap" selection in the example, as well as the bar that highlights, as where the cursor is highlighting the "Autostretch HSV" dialog. "Turbulent Noise" is what it looks like when it's not selected:

Hope that makes sense.
