I am finishing a new version...well the first attempt lead to weird results (see viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1196 )

This instead works as supposed for a Contrast Mask, and has a added option to limit color shift

"correct color shift" seems have a good effect on the color but for some reason also lower the intensity of the effect on the contrast...

well i think to know the reason but i didn't fix yet here what i get as now

what the new option to preserve (more) the original colors is simple:
instead then just output the contrast masked image, it move it as a new layer, in Value mode on top of the original , so the new image will get the luminosity,and so the contrast of the masked image but hue and saturation of the original

Of course change in Luminosity do change the colors, but much less if original hue and saturation are preserved
