A last one with all the angles set to max. I was hoping the angles would go in the negative so the skew would be opposite.I added some more layers and more colors to those layers.I also added a super nova to the center.
I also added a noisy purplish colored bg to the galaxy image.

Flip the image Vertically. To make it spin the other way, flip it Horizontally.

This is a fun script. I messed around with my results a bit.

Unfortunately, for most of this script is not working.
So I would ask - how the system (and the Gimp version) works ?

I'm using it in Fedora Linux and it worked fine for me. Are you getting an error message, MareroQ?

It works for me. I played with the color a bit, offset a layer (for depth) and used the unsharp mask a couple of times.

In Win XP (GIMP 2.6.11 and 2.7.1) and Ubuntu 10.10 (Gimp 2.6.11 and 2.7.2)
Error: eval: unbound variable: math-round

That seems to be an error some others are experiencing.
Still i have Windows XP 2.6.11 and it runs fine for me.

I *think* they're fixed.

I think the problem was with linux GIMP not liking a (rand 4000000000) statement. I lowered the number to a more reasonable value, and that let me run it on a 64-bit Ubuntu 10.10 machine. Please try downloading the script again, and see if it works now.

Tilting the other way

I changed the values of the skew angle from (0 to 90 ) to (-90 to 90) when I (hopefully) fixed the Linux bug. Is that

I also added an alpha channel to the bottom layer - then i selected all the black color and deleted it.
Then i created my own black layer with noise - after that i selected all the particals from the first layer i deleted the black from and chose the full spectrum gradient - linear and added color to the stars inside the galaxy.

I modified the script on mine to go down as low as 2 arms, and it's really not much difference on my test here. I did however play with some gradients and came up with this variation on the galaxy.

I asked him to include a nebula setting for gases.
I started this one from an old tutorial in PS i tried to convert to Gimp

Well, can anyone help get the script working? I had the same unbound variable: math bound error. I downloaded the second script, but now I get an error stating not enough arguments.

I am using Gimp 2.6.11 on Linux Mint 9.

You can do a lot with this Universe software - i went a head and purchased a license.

This error message is the same that I got after I moved the /usr/share/gimp/2.0/scripts somewhere else while
troubleshooting the Brick Wall script.
I use Gentoo Linux which adheres more or less to official file hierarchy.
I don't know if *buntu/mint do that too.
You might want to check if these scripts exist.
To browse files easily in Linux install "mc" and open it in a terminal.
