I know a lot of folks (me too) don't post nearly as often as we use to; life changes et.al. Anyway, anyone here heard how O's been doing? It was brought to me attention via PM and I guess my own life events have kept me from querying about her. While you are at it, where's Rod too; how's he been? :)

edit:

Just did a quick search and do see Rod's posted recently (I guess I just somehow missed them). :)

I talk to O once in a while on iPad, she seems to be doing fine, doing a lot of reading.

Lyle you bet me to it! I just came back to review my instructions on making the ribbons for our website and notice O and GnuTux haven't logged on in a while.

Where y'all at?

Not sure about O. She hasn't been on here in a long time. I suppose after all the years working with GIMP, she just lost interest. It's unfortunate because she was really the person most responsible for getting GIMP Chat off the ground.

I've been having ISP issues. They jumped their price 40%, with no other tier options, which was unacceptable to me. I finally made a one year deal with only a 10% increase. The billing is still screwed up, so we shall see if that gets fixed before I blow another gasket and bail out again. :hehe

Thanks for the update Molly; I guess I was either working or away when you posted your response and I've not done a good job keeping up with this thread. Please tell O that she's missed.

Glad to see you post some again Tux. I feel your pain when it comes to ISPs. AT&T just raised my email (have AT&T dial-up which I kept only for my email address since I have way too many associations that use it and still not willing to "fix" those associations) rate to nearly $21/month. Ridiculous. lol

:)

Hey there he is. :pengy

I know what you're talking about, if it were not for my Wife I would have nothing but Verizonwireless for phone and data. TV? I could do without!

Glad to here from you buddy!

Seems you could add a few more dollars to the $21/month and just go with AT&T broadband. Do they offer fast broadband in your area?

I hear ya. I've already cut the cord on Cable/Sat TV. I just use an antenna + MythTV for recording broadcast HDTV. I can stream anything else I want t see.

I didn't see this topic when it was first posted. Glad it has been brought up again. Since I don't go to many other forums any more I do miss the 'regulars' when they are not on too. Good to hear everyone is ok.

(Not sure how it would convert to your currency Lyle but I pay $89 AUD a month for ADSL broadband and a mobile/cellphone) no other phone.

Edit:
Someone else seems to be missing too and their profile says the last time they posted ---- (nothing?)

ATT is running their email on Yahoo, http://att.yahoo.com/. I was doing the same thing that you are doing until I called them one day and found out that I could cancel the ISP part and still keep all of my email addresses. Hope this helps!

I guess I'll call and see too; sound too good to be true Bilbo; already knew AT&T was using Yahoo; not sure how they would still allow you to use the AT&T extension without paying for it. Thanks for the info; will call them next week. :)

Well I did call and it's true. I can keep my att.net email address without paying $20 plus/month dial-up (which I've not used in over 6 years now). Had I freaking known about this, I would have done so long ago. Well over $1000 spent on service for nothing. Just wish now I can get back pay. lol

Still have to pay for June (service ends Jun 30), but that's OK. No more bills after that which will now help pay for my Sirius radio payment (which is the same; lol). Oh, I will be negotiating that too when the time comes. :)

I'm doing as OK as I can. I do look in on all of you from time to time to make sure you all are keeping Gimp Chat the best Gimp forum on the net. :hehe

I'll try to post a little more often.

O!!!! So good to hear from you. So glad to know you are at least popping in once in a while. But don't put yourself out to post on our account, it would be appreciated, though, if you could send an occasional word that you are doing ok.

AnMal hasn't been on for a long time. She has been busy and tired and I don't know if she will be back in the near future or not. I've haven't been on much either due to a combination of things - hacker problems forcing me to rely on the library computers , preparing for my big move to Sweden in two months time and doing courses to prepare me for finding work over there.
