nice contributions, SallyAnne, thanks!

I have a little curiosity:
why there are so many people that -in front of an image with a non-horizontal horizon (it seems a joke, isn't it?), do not modify it, but keep it as it is, when enhancing it?
I know there are situations in which it could be part of the "interpretation" of the subject, but -at least to my eyes- it does not seem this the case of Gnutux' seascape.
I noticed already this "tendency" in other pictures and other authors here in Gimp-chat.
Have I lost some important characteristics of a good photographic eye?

Can't say I noticed it/didn't take any notice of the horizon in that case. Was more worried about bring out detail if not noticing all of the detail. BTW thanks dinasset. :)

you did a good job, SallyAnne, your outcome was very good; I was just curious (one of my two prevailing characteristics: I'm lazy and I'm curious...not to say the rest!)

very good outcomes, Issabella!
for the connection problems, for the moment I don't read-modify-repost your nice photo (hopefully the day after tomorrow -back home- I'll be able to do it)
ps: about the photo posted by me: same curiosity as for SallyAnne: and the horizon???

Oregonian, I love your photo. I hope you find my version nice.
I corrected the horizon of Dinasset's photo, too.
Sallyanne, beautiful outcomes.
