Hey WW,

No, your eyes are not deceiving you. :)

I am going for grayscale icons and gray theme so as not to distract from the actual image you are working with.

If you look at Photoshop or Lightroom, you will notice the same trend.

Noticing I'm getting a failure to launch G'Mic on an image I have opened. The Gimp edges of the Gimp Window flickers a bit but no G'Mic.

Hmm, can you send me this image?

Which OS X version are you using now? I have tested Gimp on Snow Leopard all the way to Yosemite and it works for me.

Hi Partha

It would be interesting, if your build does not contain the gtk+ and the cairo/pixman error?

Hatti

Hi Hatti,

Long time. :)

What errors are those?

Thanks,
Partha

Hi Partha.
I am always there, but i do not have much time...
GTK+ error: the gtk+ 2.24.23 seems to be broken, in gimp, all gtk+ stock icons are missing. (e.g. text alignment icons)
cairo/libpixman : in single window mode, create a new image and then try to resize the window. If the libpixman bug occurs, gimp will crash.
I am using older versions of these libraries and everything is fine.

Hatti

I'm using 10.9.3. It doesn't work on any image file. I do see a crash report in Console so I'll post that to you.

I respond to you on PM.

As FYI for other Mac (or Windows) users, if you have your personal library that contain plugins already provided by my build, it can do unpredictable things since the system plugin is replaced by your personal plugins.

Hi Hatti,

My builds include the latest 2.24.24.

hi Partha. Good to see you. Been back at your 'place' a few times and nothing had seemed to change until recently. Good to see it has now. Was beginning to worry.

I've actually been polling your website since the announcement. I'm downloading as I write this.

I've been doing a check on it as well since the notice I received from GIMP user

I didn't see one for a 32 bit so downloaded Jernej Simončič's build from the gimp site. It doesn't seem to have script-fu? In filters it does but not on the top menu.

I installed your portable GIMP-2.8.14 64 bit version in c:\portables and it won't launch for some reason.
The splash appeared (only blank white screen though), and then i got a "program failed to start" error dialog.
No explanation why though. :(
Is it because i have the gimp.org 2.8.12 64 bit version installed you think?

Windows 8.1 64 bit

Hmm. Do me a favor Rod?

Since I usually get reports about program not starting etc., I have started to keep a log.

In your TEMP folder (on Windows 8/7, it should be C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Local\Temp), you will find a logfile called __gimp-2.8-run.log (Notice the 2 underscores). Either send me that file or look through it for the source of the error.

Thanks,
Partha
