Well I just finished chopping a batch. I put the tomatoes in the bottom but they chopped ok. I dumped everything in and the first few turns were kind of hard, but then it smoothed out and I have a bowl of salsa. I chopped the onion beforehand so I could have some fresh chopped onion on hand.

I also diced up the jalapeño with it. Snipped the cilantro directly into the bowl with kitchen shears. I didn't have garlic salt but have garlic powder and I sprinkled in a bit of salt. Since the chips are salty, go easy on salt in the salsa.

It smells heavenly. I'm going to leave it sit in the fridge for a couple hours to kind of mingle the flavors. It looks like enough for 2 or 3 people, depending on how much they like salsa.

Anyway, it looks like a good job of what it's supposed to do.

That sounds great. I have a bunch of tomatoes from the garden and I'm wanting to make a few jars of salsa for canning. I think this might work for chopping veggies for chili and spaghetti sauce too.

I have it my amazon cart and I'm getting ready to place an order. I like to wait until I need several items and get the free shipping. I have 13 items in my cart and I need all of them. :lol

I had chips and salsa for lunch. The salsa was tasty, crunchy and had just the right amount of spiciness. I used the whole jalapeño (it was about 2.5" long after I trimmed off the ends). You should use firm tomatoes. The salsa's very juicy. I drained off the liquid which was about 1/2 cup and saved it to throw into a batch of chili or in soup. I'm thinking it would be good with a layer of refried beans, sour cream and shredded cheddar on top. You would have to drain the liquid for that. I see no need for the garlic salt the recipe calls for. Two cloves of fresh garlic was plenty. Anyone talking to me today should stay at least 6 feet away and upwind of me. :hehe

I had it with Tostitos Fajita scoops.

There are a lot of funny reviews on Amazon.

The whole thread of reviews for the 3-wolves T-shirt is quite hysterical.

:hehe The tee is instant gratification for primal needs. Wondering if all those Wal-Martians were the ones to write those reviews. Good one, saulgoode.

:bigthup There are some varieties, like Romas, which are more meaty and less juicy. Romas are perfect for spaghetti and probably fine for Salsa too. I guess you need to find the right variety or not chop as finely and keep the tomatoes a little more chunky. :cool
