New scenery! I'm planning another book signing in November. Currently playing around with a few ideas for a promotional banner.

Hi Merrack,

Good work, but seems too strong for clouds. Looks like heavy smoke from a city on fire.

Yes, it looks like horrify smoke but very impressive pic! :bigthup
Is there a demon with open mouth on the right side?

Greeting!

Another excellent painting merrak but I agree with the others, the clouds look like smoke from a fierce fire.

I think the angle of the smoke/clouds make it look like it's originating from the earth, and that makes it look less like clouds and more like smoke. If it was lighter and more transparent, it could look somewhat like fog.

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeerak! I missed you! xD

I like this, only thing I'd grip about is I think it's too much clouds and not enough building, but that could just be preference! Nice work! :3

I've been super busy  Currently teaching 6 courses, which puts me at about a 50-60 hour work week.

I've been checking the forums from time to time, following everyone... even if I don't have much time to post.

@ Everyone who mentioned the clouds look like fire:

Maybe I went a bit too far with the warm-color filter. Here's the original color. How does it compare?

I think I've been on a warm color temperature kick lately. Sometimes I wonder if I need to pay closer attention to the color/brightness on the LCD monitor. I'd consider investing in a high-quality monitor, except I'd have to buy four so that they match. The Acer x223w, which I have, supposedly has contrast issues.

It's just a gap this time... no hidden pictures :)

I don't feel like creating a whole new post for it, so here's another painting (MyPaint only, this time) of one of my parents' dachshunds. She seems to remember me every time I visit, even though that's only a couple times a year.

The clouds look more like clouds now but I am very very impressed with the dachshund painting. Nice work!
