warning:
1-the red MUST BE defined exactly as expected by the filter (if used as per default=ff0000)
2-the tool MUST BE the pencil, not te paintbrush


edit: and...
3-the brush MUST BE without feather
4-the opacity MUST BE 100%

in other word: the filter recognizes as something to remove ONLY the pixels with the colour exactly identical to the one defined in the parameter of the filter

my attempt on removing unwanted parts of an image

original image (resized, the filter on my PC in very slow if the image is big...)

final result of G'MIC inpaint/patch (I applied the filter 3 times)

...then I made some other G'MIC enhancement (tone-mapping, local contrast, denoising...) and overlayed the enhanced layer on the previous outcome
