Odin yes that's the one but when I downloaded and installed it would not function for me properly as shown

I forgot that I was using 2.8.14, gota modify script first for the brush routine
now OK for all gimps 2.6 to 2.8.14

Didn't you do a 'black and white' border script? I can't find it.

Marcello got me thinking about all the ways borders can be made. One can made as many custom ones as they can think of doing. I have found a few different ones making a simple rectangle selection first.

I have used most of these frames scripts and plugins but the one that reigns supreme is Frame Factory
judged on it's flexibility and ease of use

I agree with you but also Gradient-frame, Picture-frame and Gmic FramePainting are good

Marcello you have done an excellent job of compiling this list now all it needs is a download location for each one of these Frame scripts/plugins
I'm sure any you don't have the rest of us can provide
